A visual clock for the global trading day
A market-hours map answers a different question from a table: not only what time an exchange opens, but where regular trading activity is concentrated at this moment. Sydney leads into the major Asian sessions, Europe takes over later, and New York carries trading into the final part of the global day.
The map follows nine exchanges and treats each glow as a city-level signal. NYSE and Nasdaq share one New York point because their regular sessions follow the same location and schedule. The exchange list below the map keeps both markets available separately.
How to use the live market map
01
Find the glow
A green city glow means at least one tracked exchange at that location is in its regular trading session.
02
Move the clock
Switch to one or three hours ahead to preview the next part of the global market relay without changing your timezone.
03
Select a market
Choose a map point or exchange button to see local time, regular hours, current status, and the next scheduled change.

World stock market map FAQ
Which stock markets are shown on the map?
The map covers NYSE, Nasdaq, London Stock Exchange, Xetra, Hong Kong Exchanges, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Korea Exchange, Shanghai Stock Exchange, and the Australian Securities Exchange.
Does the map include stock market holidays?
NYSE and Nasdaq holidays and early closes are applied through the stated U.S. calendar coverage. Other exchanges currently use standard weekday sessions and can appear open on a local holiday.
Why are NYSE and Nasdaq shown at one point?
Both exchanges are represented in New York and use the same regular cash-equity session, so one city point avoids overlapping markers while the exchange selector keeps them separate.
Can I see which markets will be open later?
Yes. Use the one-hour and three-hour preview buttons above the map. For a complete day, open the 24-hour global market timeline.
