NYSE observes a set of U.S. market holidays each year and may close early on selected trading days. The 2026 holiday and early-close dates shown here are checked against official NYSE calendar information.
Holiday status is calculated in the exchange timezone, America/New_York. If you are outside the United States, convert both the date and the close time before planning alerts or orders.
Key points
- NYSE has 10 full market closures in the 2026 calendar shown here.
- NYSE closes early at 1:00 PM ET on November 27 and December 24, 2026.
- Regular NYSE trading is normally 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET.
- Special closures can still be announced outside the regular calendar.
How early closes affect the trading day
An early close shortens the regular cash equity session. For users in other timezones, the early close can land several hours earlier than the normal converted close, so it is worth checking before placing end-of-day orders.
Broker deadlines, extended-hours access, options hours, and settlement-related rules can differ from the regular NYSE equity-market schedule.

NYSE is scheduled to close its regular cash equity session at 1:00 PM ET on Friday, November 27 and Thursday, December 24, 2026. The usual regular-session close is 4:00 PM ET.
Friday, July 3 is not an early-close day in 2026. It is a full market closure for the observed Independence Day holiday.
